Kirsten Kelley

Extension Agent, FCS, SNAP-Ed

Kirsten is a 2011 graduate of Alvernia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, as well as a 2014 graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics.  After graduating from West Chester University, Kirsten worked in the food service management industry for a few years, where she then decided that community nutrition is her true passion. Following that passion, she accepted a position at the Food Bank of Delaware working in their SNAP-Ed Department.

After her position at the Food Bank, Kirsten completed her Masters Degree in Community Nutrition from West Chester University in 2019, where she was also inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society. From there, she started working for the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program. Her experience with community outreach, programming, and nutrition education, has then led her to her current role at the Alexandra VCE Office as the FCS, SNAP-Ed Extension Agent.


Growing up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Kirsten has always promoted farming, agriculture, and really knowing where our food comes from.  She has, and always will be, an advocate for ensuring communities in Virginia receive the vital nutrition education information needed to ensure and sustain healthier lives.
